Before you begin

Your FirstPsychotherapy Session

Taking the first step towards therapy is an act of courage. At Minders Wellness and Psychological Center, we offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood.

Your first session

What to expect

Your first session is primarily an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and explore what you hope to achieve. It is not necessarily a therapy session in itself, but rather an initial conversation to help us understand your needs and determine the best way to support you. Your therapist may ask about your experiences, feelings, relationships, and current concerns. Together, you will begin to identify your needs and agree on the next steps.

A safe space

Boundaries and confidentiality

Your therapy sessions are a safe, professional space guided by respect, clear boundaries, and confidentiality. Your therapist will explain the limits of confidentiality and answer any questions you may have. You are free to ask questions, express concerns, and let your therapist know if something feels uncomfortable. We will work together to ensure that your experience is respectful and supportive.

How we protect your privacy

A gentle reminder

Therapy is a process, and you do not have to share everything in the first session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, working together towards greater understanding, healing, and wellbeing.

At Minders Wellness, we believe that beautiful thinking starts with a conversation.
